A 3 year old visits Legoland

Jack broke up from nursery a week earlier than the other local schools so Daddy and I decided to brave Legoland for the first time with him.

A trip to Legoland can be a bit pricey so we used some of our Tesco clubcard points to buy one of our tickets and cut out a voucher off a cereal packet for a buy one get one free ticket. We also took our own lunch to keep costs down and we had the pushchair to carry it all.

We got there first thing and went to the back of the park to go on the Atlantis Submarine ride first and all three of us thought it was great. You do feel like you are at the bottom of the sea. Jack then tried out the smaller L-Driver ride for to 3-5 year olds – he drove an electric car around a course and got a high five from one of the helpers and a driving licence when he finished.

Jack loved the Miniland which has scenes from Europe and the USA using 40 million bricks!!

We did take Jack’s swimmers for Drench Towers in the Duplo Valley part but the weather just didn’t get warm enough but it looked amazing – I think the whole family would love this 🙂

There are some rides for the older kids/parents like the Vikings River Splash and the Space Tower plus rides for the family like the Sky Rider and the boat ride.

Legoland is a great place for all the family but especially the little ones as they can go on most of the rides unlike some of the other theme parks aimed at older children.

Recommendations

I would recommend getting there for when it opens to avoid queues parking and getting into the park. Book early online or find a deal like we did with a voucher off a cereal pack. Using your Tesco Clubcard points is a good idea too – we saved alot. Talking of parking, if you book in advance the premium parking right by the entrance is only a couple of pounds more and probably worth it. And if you can, take a picnic or at least some drinks and snacks.

Find the cheapest nappies and baby wipes this week!

We are now in the routine of Jack going to pre-school and me working two of those days. I then get to take him to nursery on Wednesday and spend the rest of week with him 🙂

I’m loving my new job and the hours. It means I have a great balance – working on my blog, spending time with Jack, housework and some me time at work!

There seem to be a few mid-season sales happening at the moment and it looks like there is more to come with half-term looming so keep an eye on my Facebook posts.

I’m off to unpack my jumpers. Enjoy your weekend.

The best deals on nappies & wipes plus Joules discount code

This week has been about getting Jack ready for big school nursery. Putting name tags in/on everything and talking to Jack lots about going nursery. He is very excited and knows the name of his teacher and recognises the school when we drive past. Fingers crossed for Monday!

Joules are offering 25% off everything until Sunday 11th September. I love Joules and this is a great offer from them. Just pop in the code QUACK25 at the checkout.
